A Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner manages psychiatric medication management. At ReKlame, your Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner can make clinical diagnoses and prescribe medication to safely and effectively provide treatment.
This is different from therapy, which is more about talking through your feelings with a therapist to learn better ways to cope. So, they both help your mental health, but in different ways: one with medicine, the other with conversation. We currently do not offer therapy at ReKlame.
Psychiatric medication management is when a psychiatric nurse practitioner ensures your mental health medications are safe and effective. They assess your needs, prescribe medication, check how you’re doing, and adjust as needed.
How is it different from therapy?
Therapy is talking through thoughts and feelings with a mental health professional to learn coping skills.
At ReKlame, your Care Team is made up of two key people: a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and a Care Navigator.
Your Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner makes clinical diagnoses and prescribes medication to provide safe and effective treatment.
Your Care Navigator is like your personal healthcare guide. They help you navigate through your journey, from scheduling appointments to connecting you with helpful resources. They’re there to make your healthcare experience as easy and stress-free as possible!
Your Care Team is here to support you every step of the way on your path to better mental health.
Your initial consultation will take about 45 to 60 minutes. After that, your follow-ups will be shorter, around 15 to 20 minutes each. How often you need to visit will depend on what you specifically need.
At your first appointment, your provider will get to know you and your mental health and medical history. It’s a safe space – you can ask or share anything! Your treatment will be unique to you. After the visit, you’ll get a clear plan and resources for your mental health journey. We’re here to support your healing journey.
At ReKlame, our team of psychiatric nurse practitioners has got you covered. Each of us is skilled in different areas. To find the perfect fit for you, just check out our ‘Meet the Team’ page and book an appointment with the clinician who feels right for you.
Yes we do! At ReKlame, we’re here to support you if you’re dealing with chemical addictions like opioids, alcohol, or methamphetamines. We use a harm reduction and integrative approach to help you take back control of your life through consistent, holistic care. You’re not alone; we’re with you every step of the way.
After you’ve established care with us, the completion of forms such as disability, school/work accommodations, FMLA, or others may be possible. Please note, it’s up to your provider’s discretion and these forms are not completed during the first visit. We’re here to support you in every way we can!
Get the care you deserve.
